Jamell Johnson Priorities

PUBLIC SAFETY & HEALTH

The safety and health of our town and community is of utmost importance to all of us. Jamell will strive to protect Little Elm by working towards goals like: Strengthening traffic safety on FM 423, US 380, and Eldorado Parkway Maintaining the budgets of our town's first responders, including hiring more police officers and firefighters to alleviate our understaffed emergency response departments Working with local businesses to ensure COVID-19 safety while keeping their doors open

ECONOMIC GROWTH

As Little Elm continues to grow, more and more opportunity for economic growth will arise. Jamell has plans to accommodate and promote such growth through ideas such as: Recruiting businesses to relocate or start up to within Little Elm town limits Easing access to businesses and start ups; streamlining processes Ensuring compliance of fair and lawful wages and labor practices within local businesses Building public sector-private sector relationships with local and regional businesses

PUBLIC EDUCATION

With the steadfast expansion of our town, our very own school district must be able to keep up with the demands of the growth. Little Elm can do so through proposals like: Working to maintain strong relationships between Town Council and Denton ISD, Frisco ISD, and Little Elm ISD School Boards Building relationships with public universities Offering more city government learning opportunities to encourage future community leaders

FOSTERING A STRONG COMMUNITY

By promoting more civic engagement and activity, we can continue to grow a strong community that will always support each other. We can accomplish this through ideas similar to: Continuing our investment in parks and recreation and other public spaces Organizing more community events in public venues Encouraging political engagement; registering new voters and sharing our diverse ideas Holding our elected officials more responsible by holding regularly scheduled town halls

HONESTY & INTEGRITY

The people of Little Elm have told Jamell time and time again that honesty and integrity are one of the most important characteristics of an elected official. He will work to exceed that expectation by: Serving the community first and foremost; Little Elm is all that matters on this council Using his experience as a corporate compliance manager and Army officer to uphold his values Always keeping the door open for constituents; making himself available for his town

SUSTAINABILITY EFFORTS

The health of our environment is extremely important to our town because Lake Lewisville is our largest economic and recreational asset. We can strive to protect our environment with ideas like: Continuing to enforce established pollution and littering regulations; fund clean ups Park and road beautification; planting more greenery and neatening up public spaces Continuing the push for more recycling options for homes and businesses Gently working to improve air quality; Denton County air quality is among the worst in the state
